Privacy Policy

Overview
Pinpoint ("we," "our," or "the app") is a peptide and medication tracking application for iOS. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy, especially given the sensitive nature of health and medication data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version: Your medication data stays on your device. We don't sell your data. We don't show you ads. We don't share your health information with anyone.
Information We Collect
Health & Medication Data
To provide our core tracking functionality, Pinpoint stores the following information that you voluntarily enter:
- Medication and peptide names
- Dosage amounts and concentrations
- Dosing schedules and frequency
- Administration routes (e.g., subcutaneous injection, oral)
- Dose logging timestamps and notes
- Reminder preferences and notification settings
This data is stored locally on your device by default. It is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly opt in to cloud sync features.
Account & Purchase Data
If you purchase a premium subscription or lifetime access, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive a purchase confirmation but do not have access to your payment method, credit card number, or Apple ID credentials.
Device & Analytics Data
We may collect limited, anonymized usage analytics to improve the app, including:
- App version and iOS version
- Device type (e.g., iPhone 15, iPad)
- General usage patterns (e.g., feature usage frequency)
- Crash reports and error logs
This data is aggregated and anonymized. It cannot be used to identify you personally or reconstruct your medication data.
Support Communications
If you contact us at support@pinpointapp.com, we retain your email address and message content solely to respond to your inquiry and improve our service.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Core functionality: Storing and displaying your medication schedules, sending reminders, and maintaining dosing history.
- App improvement: Understanding how features are used to prioritize development and fix bugs.
- Customer support: Responding to your questions and resolving issues.
- Purchase verification: Confirming subscription status to unlock premium features.
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the app's core functionality.
Data Storage & Security
Your medication data is stored locally on your iOS device using Apple's secure on-device storage mechanisms, including encryption at rest when your device is locked with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
If you enable optional cloud sync, your data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest on our servers. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your data.
While we follow HIPAA-conscious data handling practices, Pinpoint is not a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate. We do not process data on behalf of healthcare providers.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your health or medication data with any third party.
Specifically:
- No third-party advertising: Pinpoint does not contain ads or ad-tracking SDKs.
- No data brokers: We never sell or provide your data to data brokers or marketing companies.
- No social media tracking: We do not embed social media trackers in the app.
- Limited analytics: If we use any analytics service, it processes only anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you or your health information.
We may disclose information only if required by law, such as in response to a valid court order or subpoena.
Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: All your medication data is visible to you within the app at any time.
- Deletion: You can delete any or all medication data within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
- Export: You can export your dosing history from the app for your personal records or to share with your healthcare provider.
- Notifications: You can disable all reminders and notifications through your device's Settings app or within Pinpoint.
- Cloud sync: If available, cloud sync is optional and can be disabled at any time.
For California residents: Under the CCPA, you have the right to know what data we collect and to request its deletion. Since we store data locally and collect minimal analytics, your data footprint is already minimal. Contact us to exercise these rights.
For EU/EEA residents: Under the GDPR, you have additional rights including data portability and the right to restrict processing. Contact us at support@pinpointapp.com to exercise these rights.
Children's Privacy
Pinpoint is not directed at children under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 17 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via the email address associated with your account (if applicable). The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was most recently revised.
